If your device is frozen and will not respond to any manipulation, or for no reason stopped and enabled to respond to the charger, you can try to restart it by doing a soft reset. A soft reset is a normal reset of the device, it will not delete any data. All information in the phone will remain.
To perform a soft reset, do the following:
Press and hold the "Home" button and "Power"
Hold the buttons until the Apple logo appears( about 10 seconds)
If the device has no software and hardware problem then it should start in standard operating mode
